Working of pumps depends upon the interaction between the rotating impeller and the surrounding fluid. Performance of pumps is determined by the geometry of impellers. Proper understanding of impellers is essential for the design and selection of pumps. Tesca Pump Impeller Display Panel is an important item for any hydraulic, civil, mechanical and related engineering laboratory of an educational institution.
The Tesca Pump Impeller Display Panel consists of scaled models of pump impellers and is selected to familiarize students with the impellers used in various other types of roto-dynamic pumps such as centrifugal, axial and mixed flow pumps and positive displacement pumps.
Any five of the following types of impellers can be included in the display panel:
1. Centrifugal pump impeller – forward curved, backward curved, radial tipped, airfoil bladed, open type or with shrouds.
2. Axial flow pump impeller
3. Mixed flow pump impeller
4. Vane pump impeller
5. Gear pump impeller
