Description:
The friction losses in the piping device allow the student to study the different types of losses in the flow through the pipes and the different fittings. The relationship between the flow, the blood pressure and the values of the coefficient of friction against the reynolds valves, such as branches and bends. The device consists of a group of pipes and valves that are balanced to obtain a wide variation in the flow rates. Pressure openings are provided. At the appropriate points for measuring the energy loss on the standard lengths of different pipes, the first pipe that serves as a feeding pipe for the various pipes contains a flowmeter suitable for measuring the rate of water flow. 3 different types of pipes made of copper, aluminum and plastic are used to measure the coefficient of friction and compare between them. The other pipes contain different types of valves it is used to study the coefficient of friction through these valves. Sudden expansion and contractions of different diameters are included.
