Research carried out in hotels, restaurants, banks, offices and airports has shown that the level of bacteria on elevator buttons averaged 313 colony forming units (CFUs) per square centimeter, compared to 8 CFUs on the average public toilet seat. Among the common bacteria likely to be found are lethal disease-causing E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and methicillin-resistant.
Keyguard is a compact device equipped with High Power UV-C LEDs that can kill germs and viruses effectively. It can be attached to Elevator keypads, and it will work only when keypad is not in use. LEDs will get automatically powered off when interrupted by human hand.
