Introduction: In an ideal CSTR (i.e. an ideal steady state flow reactor) the contents in reactor, this set-up are used to study a non-catalytic homogeneous second order liquid phase reaction under ambient condition. The setup consists of three CSTR arranged in series and two feed tanks through which two reactants are fed to the reactor.

Specifications:

  1. Reactor (3Nos.): Material Stainless Steel, Capacity 1Ltr. (Approx).
  2. Stirrer (3Nos.): Stainless Steel Impeller and shaft coupled with FHP Motor.
  3. Feed Tank (2Nos.): Material Stainless Steel, Capacity - 20Ltrs.
  4. Feed Circulation: By compressed air.Flow Measurement: Rotameter 2 Nos. (one each for Reactants).
  5. Piping: Stainless Steel and PVC.Pressure Regulator: 0-2 Kg/cm2.
  6. Pressure Gauge: Bourdon type 0-2 Kg/cm2.
  7. Stop Watch: Electronic.
  8. The whole set-up is ingeniously designed and schematically arranged on a powder-coated rigid structure.
